RAINWATER TANKS BRISBANE, REBATE, RAIN SOURCE TANKS BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

South-East Queensland residents are now in the grip of the worst drought in recorded history. And are now learning how level five water restrictions will affect them and their way of life. The Queensland Water Commission has been consulting the community on draft details of level five water restrictions - to come into force on April 10 - but will release the final version tomorrow. It is understood there have only been minor changes to the draft list of restrictions released almost a month ago. The commission is expected to announce eased water use limits for nurseries, professional dog and house washers and carwashes, after concerns were raised that businesses could be put at risk. Under the draft measures, nurseries were only allowed to water outdoors for eight hours a week. The final restrictions are also expected to heed a call from motoring bodies to allow vehicle owners to use buckets of water to remove stains, but not completely wash their vehicles. Residents in 12 South-East Queensland shires will only be allowed to bucket-water their gardens twice a week under the new restrictions. The plan is to save 140 megalitres of water a day, as the south-east grapples with the worst drought on record. Town water cannot be used to fill pools, and households that use more than 800 litres a day will receive a "please explain" note and be asked to self-audit their water use. Business and industry will also be forced to make changes... Call us today on (07) 3324 2200 to arrange a no obligation consultation...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What size tank do I need?
A: When choosing a tank size you will need to consider what you will be using the tank for (i.e. how heavily you will use the tank water), space available for the tank, and any current rebate eligibility requirements.

Our trained consultants can advise you. Simply ring us to arrange a free quote.
Q I don’t have much room, what are my options?

A: Slim line tanks or a series of connected smaller round tanks may be
appropriate. Alternatively under-house bladders can provide an ideal
solution in some small-space situations.
Q What colour tanks do you have?
A: We have a range of colours. Please visit the colour chart on our website or our brochure.
Q: Why use Poly tanks?
A: Through experience we have found Poly tanks to be the most durable option for homes. Poly does not dint, rust, scratch, cause metal reactions with other pipe work and cannot be damaged in a hail storm for example.
Further, our corrugated tanks look like the traditional tank, but avoid any risks mentioned above.
Q: Can Rain Source install the tank?
A: Yes!, In fact we take care of ALL the details and all trades-work (including concreting and electrical) is arranged for you. Rain Source Tanks is also BSA licensed.
Q: Is Rain Source Tanks BSA Licensed?
A: Yes. QBSA Licence No. 1099054. This is important for your protection, we recommend you check with any company giving a quote to ensure a qualifications and licensing are in place to protect your rights and ensure works quality.
Q: Can I connect the tank to the toilet and/or laundry?
A: Yes. Connecting your tank to an internal fixture can be a great way to reduce your households water consumption. You may even be eligible for an extra rebate from your local council.
Q: Can I drink from the tank?
A: Our tanks conform Australian standards AS 2070 (contact with food) and AS 4020 (contact with drinking water). Diverters and filters can also be used to help keep the water clean. This said, many local councils do not recommend drinking water from a rainwater tank. You may wish to check with your local council.
Q What is the time delay from order to completion?
A: Rain Source Tanks continue to work hard to provide quicker-than- industry turnaround times. Contact our office for current information. Our yard is also constantly re-stocked of delivery-only pump-diverter and tank packages which can be picked up immediately or delivered within days.
Q: How do I claim my rebate(s)?
A: Currently in Queensland rebates are available from the State Government (up to $1000) and many local Councils.

Rebates are claimed after your tank installation is completed. At Rain Source we make the claiming process easy by providing a ‘rebate kit’.
Your consultant will be able to advise you on rebates.
